Tee up for CHD research!

Share

Come join us for a fun-filled golf tournament in Murfreesboro, TN to raise funding for CHD research. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome!

Why play? Here’s the story…

Our son, Ty, was born with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic arch, and a transitional avsd. His first open heart surgery reconstructed his aorta and was on day 9 of life. His second open heart repair was not anticipated to be needed until two or three years of age. Ty had other plans. We spent the vast majority of his first 3 months of life at Vanderbilt as he went into heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As a result, the medical team concluded that he needed the repair much sooner than usually recommended, and at just shy of 3 months old Ty underwent his second life saving open heart surgery. God has already worked so many miracles in Ty’s life and the life of our family and we know he is using our story. Because of this, we are grateful for Ty’s special heart and feel beyond blessed that God chose us to travel this road. We are praying for a full recovery and life without restrictions for Ty.

The Hoopers have organized the Hugh’s Brews and ‘Ques Memorial Golf Tournament in honor of Ty and in memory of his grandfather, Hugh Hooper, who passed away while Ty was in the hospital. Hugh was an avid golfer so there was no better way to honor them both than by hosting a Golf Tournament benefiting Project Heart.

So come join us! Enjoy a BBQ lunch before teeing off and beer tastings out on the course. Heart parents golf free when signing up with 3 others to complete a foursome. Email meagan@projectheart.org for discount or any other questions.

Friday, June 16th at 11:30am at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Murfreesboro, TN

Tickets can be purchased here or on the course the day of the event.
